TRIGEMINAL NEURALGIA AWARENESS

I wanted to write you all to again bring to the forfront the disorder/disease of Trigeminal Neuralgia. I have been fighting this for 23 years. TN is called by the Medical Community to be "THE WORST PAIN KNOWN TO MANKIND, THE PAIN IS SUICIDAL".
I have fought this and it is very life altering. The pain is so intense and makes you really give up at times.
I am blessed to know a few who fight this. My doctors are using various injections to help me along with medications. I not only fight this but Post Herpetic Neuralgia in the same area, that is from SHINGLES On the Trigeminal Nerve. So Lyrica works well but the Trigeminal Aspect is quite difficult. I need help for a lot of things in my life. I can't be the mom I want to be, My husband misses the way I used to cook. I fight many side effects from so many drugs.
To those who feel like they have electric pain or a toothache that won't go away, or if you can not tolerate breezes or even a draft or touch to your face, If you get pain so severe when you kiss or even brushing your teeth or eating you might go to a neurologist and ask them to check you out for Trigeminal Neuralgia, It is a Long process to get diagnosed, because they rule out everything else. The pain though is the hallmark. To me it felt like an electric spike with an elephant pounding it into areas of my mouth, head, face. I am doing better with Botulism Toxin injections but that takes me about 3 weeks to recuperate from. There are side effects from that too, I had paralysis of my eye of my mouth, I have had drooping. But as my specialist and I work together and look at reams of info I know it will work because GOD LOVES ME. I honestly do not know how people survive this with NO FAITH or HOPE in GOD. One time I was wailing in pain for hours wanting to die, I phoned my pastor who prayed with me as my husband went to get yet another experimental drugat the hospital,an hour from our home. The LORD guided me to the hammered dulcimer where I plucked out an inspired tune. Then He led me to the electric piano, and I have no formal training.. but a song erupted with chords and orchestration. It sounded like a boat heading toward shore in a stormy ocean.. and I could see the boat would make it safely. When The song ended my husband came in with the medication. The Lord kept me playing in HOPE for hours. I give the glory of my survival to God! HE IS WONDERFUL.

GLORY DUST~ A SIGN AND WONDER!

PICTURE IS BELOW...PRAISE TO GOD!! This is as best a photo i could get of Glory dust! I took it about 2 in the morning a few weeks ago on a Sat night. The Lord has been giving me many types of it. This one is green, pink, gold. He is amazing, and puts it even BETWEEN PAGES of books! I could not think of a way to gather it except to put it on a post it note, which my pastor has now. I now get glory dust from the Lord that i find in the dustiest dirtiest places. I believe the Lord may be saying that HIS GLORY WILL SHINE, IN THE DARKEST PLACES. I believe we are moving to a time when even if persecution should come, God will keep us. There is another type of Glory dust too, one that actually become PART of whatever it is on. Remember, the KINGDOM OF GOD IS WITHIN US!! One time it was part of the cover on our hot tub, it actually was in between the molecules of the cover. You could NOT rub it off. I fell and wept and worshipped the Lord for HIS amazing Glory. You shall see more signs and wonders, for HE is GREAT! I so wish this were clearer but i was holding it in my hand and photographing with the other hand.

A NEW SILK From MAY 2006

The Lord is having me do some new things with my silks. This one has been painted also with Gold. It is one of the newer techniques He taught me.
I taught a demo on silk painting, but ended up in bed for quite a bit afterward due to exhaustion. I then gave this silk to another artist, who gave me a wonderful mixed media watercolor of a bunch of Grapes. God is teaching me a lot in John 15 about abiding in the vine. I MUST LEARN HOW TO REST and ABIDE.

I create every silk, whether it is a scarf or a ribbon, one at a time, in prayer for the Person it is for. I am on a rest sabbatical now to get well and inquire of the Lord. He is teaching me to rest, and to hear HIM in a NEW WAY. I have been experiencing all types of glory dust! The Lord is good to me, I am trying hard to take this year, from april 2006 -7 to go deeper with the Lord. My new website needs to be finished, lots of work there, but when up it will be www.halalsilks.com, just as you see on these cards.

7."FOUNDATION STONES" FLAG

4."FOUNDATION STONES" FLAG, One of my first attempts at folding, then dyeing. These folds were made and the dry fabric was painted. It was left for 24 hours, unclamped and rinsed. I love how the orange has gold highlights in it. This is habotai silk 5 mm, which i am learning is a bit light for a flag, the light shines thru, but it is a beauty to dance with as it hovers in the air! In 2006 there was a manifestation of God's Glory at the Community Bible Church in South Burlington during a conference worship time. I was alone at the back of the church waving this and all of a sudden drops of dried blood appeared on this and one of the firee flags. I had no cuts, there was no explanation. This flag through a series of divine circumstances came to be delivered as a prophetic gift to the NATICK PRAYING INDIANS where it resides on their altar to God. How humbled am I!

4. MY VERY UGLY FIRST SAMPLER!

VERY UGLY 1st Sampler! This blog is for a progression of my work. This sampler was done with Procion mx fiber reactive dyes and Silkpaint Brand Clear resist. The resist was a great disappointment. Even with well executed dry resist lines I had many breaks where the dye bled through. I've since learned that these 2 products don't do well together! The soda ash must be breaking down the line. I like to flood dye when i work and it can't hold up to that. I wanted you to see my ugliest piece of work so you can see what the Lord did to improve my art as I released my art to HIM.
